GPSR affecting Shipping to EU and NI with effect from 13th December 2024.
With a very sorrowful heart, I must make the unhappy announcement that beyond 13th December 2024, LoullyMakes will no longer be able to ship to our customers in EU and NI.
New General Product Safety Regulations come into force on that date, and in order to comply, we must appoint an EU/NI Authoritative Representative as a responsible point of contact regarding our product safety documentation.
The European Commission, the UK Government & The Scottish Government have yet to publish (as promised) any clear guidelines specifically for SME and micro enterprises.
This obligation has proven to be too time-consuming and high in cost for us to meet compliance by 13th December 2024. Therefore we have no other option at present, than to halt our business in the EU and NI and we are so, so sorry.
All of us at LoullyMakes hope that this will be a temporary measure and that the inevitable damage to our business will not be too great to bear. We trust that as soon as we are supplied with the necessary clear & practical guidance from the EC, UK & Scottish Governments, that we will once again be able to open our online stores to the EU and NI.
In the meantime, a tiny ray of sunshine for those affected- if you are fortunate enough to travel to Scotland, you will be warmly welcomed into our Edinburgh stores where you can shop LoullyMakes collections and carry all your purchases home to the EU or NI with you !
